Oh Ingrid you are so right! I'm going to tease you and tell you I can "one-up" you. I had my first at nearly 40 while my husband was in medical school. Our second was born when I was 41 "and a half" and our third when I was 43! Yes it can be a hardship and at our ages medical issues can surface. Killing the baby is the least helpful to anyone....least of all the dead baby and the mother who has had to harden her heart to kill the very baby whose heart beats within her! There are THOUSANDS of people wanting to adopt a baby so to say a baby would be unwanted is just a total rationalization. If a woman finds herself in a situation where she feels the baby would be just "too much" for her the option to give up the baby would really be best. Amazing, they can't stomach the thouht of giving up the baby after they see him/her, but stripping him/her limb from limb in the womb is palatable? Go figure!

The solution to an inconvenient child is to kill her? I have practiced what I preach as author of the offending post. We are expecting a baby--I am 42. Financially it is going to create hardship and the child is currently causing me serious health issues. The alternative was to kill the baby. I then get to keep my job of 20 years, keep my health and everybody would be happy. Except the dead baby, of course. Our family lives our pro-life ethic despite hardship and we have additionally adopted two abandoned children who were at least allowed to live. Murder is never an option to hardship. We recently got to see the "fetus" whose life we could take at any moment legally.

God help women who think its progress for the sisterhood to be able to butcher your own baby because you can't "afford" it. It's barbarism, pure and simple.
